The circulars referred to by the Deputy are in relation to the arrangements for discharge from hospital and after care of homeless persons. Recently my Department have written to health boards and voluntary hospitals requesting details of their experience in the operation of the procedures as set out in these circulars. My Department are still awaiting a response from a number of health boards and hospitals. When the information requested has been received I will then decide what action needs to be taken.
