asked the Minister for Labour in respect of the number of disputes referred to the Labour Court under section 19 of the Employment Equality Act, 1977, in the period 1978 to 1987, the number of instances occurring each year in which the complainant indicated that he or she had used the form prescribed in regulations made under section 28 of the Act; and the number of instances in which respondents had failed to complete the form or to return it within the specified time limit.

Disputes under section 19 of the Employment Equality Act, 1977 are normally referred by the Labour Court to the equality officer service for investigation and the issue of recommendations. The following is a table of recommendations issued during the period 1978 to 1987 giving details of the occasions on which the complainant indicated that the forms prescribed under section 28 were used.
