I have been in contact with the Eastern Health Board with regard to your question. The board has informed me that due to the introduction of a new computer system there has been a delay in the issue of medical cards. The board has assured me that in the case of the individual concerned a card will issue within the next two weeks. Meanwhile, arrangements have been made to enable the person to avail of the benefits of the card.
