Vol. 382 No. 1

Written Answers. - Sexism and Sex Stereotyping in Education.

188.

asked the Minister for Education if the primary and post primary inspectorate of her Department have had any special courses, lectures or seminars on the elimination of sexism and sex stereotyping in education since she took office in March 1987; and, if so, the details, length of time, date and venue; and the names of those who conducted these seminars or lectures.

In relation to the primary and post primary schools inspectorate, no such courses have taken place. However, I have had a number of meetings with the members of the committee within my Department responsible for elimination of sexism and sex stereotyping in education to plan a comprehensive programme dealing with this and other related matters.
