Vol. 382 No. 2

Written Answers. - Payment of Tax Arrears.

18.

asked the Minister for Finance if his Department will agree to the payment of £2 per week by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 who owes a very small amount of tax arrears, in view of the financial circumstances of the person involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that in view of the financial circumstances of the taxpayer and as the amount of arrears involved is very small they are prepared to take a sympathetic view of the case.

The Collector-General will write to the taxpayer in this regard.
