Written Answers. - County Kerry Group Water Schemes.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed Coolick group water scheme, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This proposal will be given further consideration when pumphouse and reservoir sites have been acquired by the group, and relevant costings have been submitted to my Department.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed Tahilla group water scheme, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

While the design of this scheme has been approved for some time I understand that the group have not as yet agreed on a contractor for the scheme.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed Gortglass/ Coolnagerah/Dromulton group water scheme near Scartaglen, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department are currently considering a proposal by Kerry County Council to pay a special contribution towards the cost of increasing pipe sizes on this scheme. Also, the group have been requested to clarify some aspects of their application. I will be in a position to decide on a grant allocation when these matters are resolved.
