Vol. 382 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin Roads Development.

80.

andMiss Kennedy asked the Minister for the Environment the proposals in existence for the provision of an eastern by-pass road in Dublin; if he will give an assurance that there will be no interference with the bird sanctuary at the marsh at Booterstown which is zoned for amenity use and is the natural habitat for protected species of plant in the provision of the road; and the works, preparatory or otherwise, which have already been embarked upon.

The question of road developments in Dublin is being examined in the context of the preparation of a draft blueprint for road development, which has just been completed. I will be making a statement relating to the blueprint very shortly and in the meantime I do not propose to comment further.
