Vol. 383 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital's Accident/Emergency Services Allocation.

272.

asked the Minister for Health the amount of money which is allocated to hospitals in the Dublin city area for the maintenance of their accident and emergency facilities.

The allocation for each hospital takes account of total range and type of facilities to be provided.

As is the case in western countries generally, the allocation process is being critically examined by the Department, with the objective of linking, more closely, agreed outputs with resource inputs at speciality and service level.
