Vol. 383 No. 4

Written Answers. - Wexford Drainage Scheme.

41.

asked the Minister for the Environment the current position in regard to Wexford main drainage scheme; if a capital allocation is included for this scheme in the 1989 Estimates; and when he envisages that work will begin on this project.

Revised contract documents, and other detailed information in relation to this scheme, have been requested from Wexford Corporation. A certificate confirming the acquisition of all necessary lands and way-leaves, and compliance with relevant statutory requirements, is also awaited from the corporation. In these circumstances, it is not possible for me to anticipate when the scheme might be approved to go to tender and construction.
