Vol. 383 No. 8

Written Answers. - Loughlinstown (Dublin) Housing.

178.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction 51 houses at L 4.3 and L 4.4 at Loughlinstown, County Dublin, arising from the acceptance of the last tender for these buildings in February, 1987; the action, if any, he intends taking in the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

While the technical aspects of this scheme are generally in order, the capital provided this year for the local authority housing construction programme has been fully allocated to meet expenditure on schemes completed, in progress or already approved but not yet started.

In relation to 1989, claims for capital for housing construction will, in accordance with normal procedures, be sought from housing authorities at the end of 1988. Pending receipt and examination of these claims, it is not possible to say what new schemes will be approved to start next year.
