The total number employed in my Department on 30 September 1987, was 350. Fifteen officers in my Department have to date availed themselves of the early retirement scheme. The breakdown by grade is as follows: 1 Assistant Secretary; 1 Principal Officer; 6 Assistant Principals; 5 Higher Executive Officers; 1 Superintendent of Typists; 1 Messenger.
The number of staff by agency and category who have to date availed of the early retirement/voluntary redundancy scheme in agencies, bodies or statutory authorities under the aegis of my Department is as outlined in the attached tabular statement.
