Vol. 384 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Board Staff Recruitment.

213.

asked the Minister for Health whether it is his policy that nurses who have in the past retired without a pension from the service of the health boards should be debarred from temporary employment by such health boards; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that such a policy is being implemented by the Southern Health Board; and if he will ensure that uniform standards in relation to employment procedures are applicable throughout all the health boards.

Uniform standards apply in relation to the recruitment of permanent staff by health boards. However, the recruitment of temporary staff is a matter for each individual health board.
