asked the Minister for Defence the number of vehicles which are owned by his Department, or by agencies or State boards under his aegis; and the number of these vehicles which are capable of using lead free petrol.

The majority of the petrol vehicles are capable of using lead free petrol. In certain makes and models, however, modifications have to be carried out prior to the use of lead free petrol.
