The number of farmers whose non-marketing period expired before 1 April 1984 is about 660.
The Council of Ministers is due to consider proposals again at its meeting on 12-14 December. Until such time as the final decision is taken by the Council, it will not be possible to indicate how individual farmers who participated in these schemes will be affected.
