Vol. 385 No. 2

Written Answers. - Natural Gas Usage.

145.

asked the Minister for Energy the number of industrial companies and commercial projects which have to date indicated that they will use natural gas in County Louth; the price per therm of gas offered to each user; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

To date, 17 industrial and commercial companies in County Louth have indicated that they are prepared to use natural gas. These companies would, in the aggregate, use about 20 million therms of gas per year.

The price to be paid for gas is an oil related price and varies in accordance with the amount of gas consumed. The price paid for natural gas by individual customers is a matter of commercial confidentiality between BGE and the consumer.
