There are over 850 special posts for remedial teachers in national schools and their services are available, through sharing arrangements, to about 1,100 primary schools. Under the terms of the agreement between the Government and the INTO, there will be no reduction in the stock of remedial teachers. I propose reviewing the position to see how best to make use of the existing allocation of posts.
