asked the Taoiseach if he will set out the European duties assigned to the Minister of State at his Department; and if additional responsibilities will be taken on by the Department in preparation for 1992.

The Minister of State at my Department, Deputy Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, is responsible for co-ordinating the approach of Government Departments to European Community business. She represents Ireland on the Budget and Culture Councils.

The Minister of State also has the co-ordinating role in relation to the Government's campaign to promote awareness of and preparation for the completion of the Single European Market.
