asked the Taoiseach the foreign trips which he plans for 1989; and if, on each occasion, he will arrange to meet with representatives of Irish emigrants abroad in countries where they are prevalent.

It is not the practice, for security and other reasons, to give details of this kind in advance.

The Deputy can be assured that, as in the case of my visits to the United States, Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, I avail of every opportunity, while abroad on official business, to meet with representatives of Irish community organisations and discuss their concerns. Our embassies, of course, maintain continuous contact with these organisation.
