No decision has been taken to terminate the pilot policing scheme in Claremorris Garda District. The policing arrangements for rural areas in general and the operation of the scheme referred to are under review with a view to ensuring that all Garda resources are deployed to best advantage. The question of introducing any change in the scheme will be considered on completion of this review.
