Vol. 385 No. 4

Written Answers. - Navan, Meath, School Transport.

29.

asked the Minister for Education the reason school transport to Saint Ultan's special school, Navan, County Meath will not be provided for persons (details supplied) in County Meath; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

All children attening special schools are provided with free transport if this can be arranged within reasonable cost limits. All three of the children in question have been offered free transport facilities. All three reside varying distances from the route. Two of them are understood to be availing of the service. The third child is not availing of it.

The standard of service available to them is considered reasonable, given their distances from school.
