Vol. 385 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Waterford School Transport.

32.

asked the Minister for Education if she will grant free school transport to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford who suffers from eczema and has a medical card.

An eligible post-primary pupil may be exempt from the school transport charges where (a) his-her parents-legal guardians are medical card holders or (b) he-she is severely medically handicapped.

If a medical card is submitted in this case the child will be exempted from charges. The medical condition referred to would not, per se, warrant such exemption.
