Vol. 385 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Monaghan Primary School Proposal.

53.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that a new primary school is very badly needed at Annyalla, County Monaghan; when it is proposed to allow the contract to go for tender; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

In conjunction with other applications of a similar nature, the application of the authorities of Annyalla national school, County Monaghan, for grant-aid towards the cost of providing a new building to replace the unsuitable accommodation at present in use is being considered in connection with my Department's 1989 capital allocation for its national schools building programme. I am not at this early stage in a position to say when it may be possible to invite tenders for the project.
