asked the Minister for Education the three schools in respect of which plans were submitted by her Department to the Department of Finance for approval; the projects, if any, which are proposed for submission in the near future; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department received sanction from the Department of Finance to commence construction on the following nine schools this year. Kilcormac vocational school; Carrick vocational school; Prosperous vocational school; New Inn vocational school; Dundalk vocational school; Ballinrobe community school; Castlecomer community school; Convent of Mercy, Ballymote; Christian Brothers school, Drogheda.
The projects to be advanced in 1989 have not yet been determined. In the case of four other projects (Newcastlewest, Cashel, Castlerea and Newbridge) funding is being sought from other than State sources. In this respect an advertisement was placed in the national press this week inviting developers to submit proposals to design, finance and build the above mentioned projects.
