Vol. 385 No. 4

Written Answers. - Offaly National School.

90.

asked the Minister for Education if there are any proposals regarding the provisions of additional accommodation at a national school (details supplied) in County Offaly; and if a discussion on the provision of low cost alternative accommodation will resolve the present situation.

My Department recently grant-aided the provision of two prefabricated classrooms at the County Offaly national school referred to in order to relieve the school's immediate accommodation problem. The school authority's application for grant aid towards the cost of a permanent extension is under consideration in my Department in conjunction with applications from other schools in a similar position and the school authorities will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.
