Vol. 385 No. 6

Written Answers. - Maintenance Allowance Payment.

231.

asked the Minister for Health when a disabled person's maintenance allowance will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The payment of disabled persons maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for determination by the health board concerned having regard to all the circumstances of that case.

I have had inquiries made from the South-Eastern Health Board and have been informed that the board is currently awaiting a consultant's medical report on the applicant. On receipt of this report a decision on the application will be made without delay.
