Because of administrative difficulties associated with the winding-up of Bord na gCapall, which is being undertaken by officials of my Department, the 1987 accounts of the Bord have only recently been completed for audit. They are now being submitted to the Comptroller and Auditor General for final audit as required under the Horse Industry Act, 1970.
