In accordance with the Government decision of 1 November 1987 on decentralisation, it is proposed to transfer 140 personnel from my Department to Killarney, County Kerry. The transfer will take place when the proposed purpose built premises are available for occupation. I understand that today is the latest date for the submission of tenders to the Office of Public Works for the construction of these premises and that, allowing time for fitting out, the expectation is that the premises will be ready for occupation in mid-1990.
