My Department has sanctioned the acquisition of three school sites by County Donegal VEC since 1980. The sites are located at Stranorlar, Milford and Arranmore Island. To date no buildings have been erected on the sites at Stranorlar and Milford as planning has not yet been finalised. With regard to Arranmore Island, the site purchased by the vocational education committee was found to be unsuitable. The purchase of an alternative site has been authorised by my Department.
