I have already indicated that I am carrying out a detailed review of the higher education grants scheme at present with particular regard to the means assessment criteria and the four honours rule.
I should also like to point out that the grant schemes are subject to annual ongoing review in the light of difficulties that come to the attention of my Department and representations received.
Any proposals I may have as a result of these reviews will be conveyed in the normal way when the scheme for this year is published.
