Vol. 386 No. 7

Written Answers. - Copy Map Application.

56.

asked the Minister for Justice the reason a map requested by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry has not been sent to her.

I am informed by the Register of Titles that the subject matter of the question was an application for a copy map which was received in the Land Registry on 15 September 1988. The copy map was issued to the applicant on 3 February 1989. The average delay at present in supplying copy maps is just over a month. The application in question, however, took longer than average mainly because the original Land Registry map to be copied was drawn on a scale no longer used and was also found to be defaced. It was necessary, therefore, to obtain and examine the Land Commission Estate map before drawing up and issuing the required map.
