Vol. 387 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cork Hospital Works.

111.

asked the Minister for Health the total cost of remedial works at Cork Regional Hospital; the source from which these works are being financed; and if action will be taken to recover the cost if negligence is established.

The total cost of the remedial works at Cork Regional Hospital consists of several elements some of which have not yet been finalised; so it is not possible to give a precise figure at this stage. The cost to date has been met from the Health capital allocation. The question of recovering the cost is currently being pursued by the Southern Health Board and their legal advisers.
