Vol. 387 No. 2

Written Answers. - Computers in Primary Schools.

89.

asked the Minister for Education the number of computers in the 3,500 primary schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

There are no funds available to facilitate the introduction of a general scheme to provide computers for all national schools. However, over the past few years my Department have provided computers for 20 national schools in disadvantaged areas and approximately 25 per cent of national schools are using systems which are provided from their own resources.
