Vol. 387 No. 2

Written Answers. - Appointment of Remedial Teacher.

95.

asked the Minister for Education if she has received representations from the INTO in connection with the appointment of a remedial teacher for Clooncurra national school, Lispole, County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

An application for a full remedial post has been made by the chairperson, board of management.

The school in question has the service of a remedial teacher on a shared basis.

The quota of remedial posts to be allocated in any school year depends on the financial resources available to the Department. No additional remedial posts have been allocated for some time.

If such posts become available in the future, this application will be considered in conjunction with the other applications on hand.
