During the period 1 January 1987 to 31 December 1988 my Department sold a total of 742 hectares of forestry land: 263.7 hectares were sold by direct sale, 476.7 hectares by public tender and 1.6 hectares by confined tender. I have the details of the individual sales and I will pass these on to the Deputy. However, I am not at liberty to disclose the amount of money realised in each sale as this would prejudice future sales.
