Details of vacant local authority dwellings at year end are provided to my Department on an annual basis. The following statement shows returns received to date for housing authorities listing the number of vacant houses and flats at 31 December 1988.
The majority of these vacancies are in housing estates where remedial works are in progress or in planning.
