Vol. 387 No. 4

Written Answers. - Richill (Limerick) National School.

131.

asked the Minister for Education whether any provision has been made in the 1989 Estimates for the building of the necessary new classrooms at Richill national school, Lisnagry, County Limerick, where there is severe overcrowding and where the prefabricated classrooms have far exceeded their allotted lifespan and are in extremely bad repair with consequent dangers to the health and well-being of the pupils; and whether building work at the school will commence this year.

I recently met a delegation from the school when the matter was fully discussed. Proposals were put to me regarding the further development of the school. I am at present considering these proposals and will be in touch with the school authorities in the matter as soon as possible.
