Vol. 387 No. 5

Written Answers. - Donnelly Visas.

48.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the percentage of the recipients of the Donnelly visas who are in full-time residence in the United States.

Irish citizens received nearly 4,200 of the original 10,000 visas under the NP5 or Donnelly scheme. Twenty-three per cent of those had lived in the US for six months or more.

The US authorities have now begun to grant visas under the second Donnelly allocation. It is too early to say how many of these already reside in the United States.
