Vol. 387 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

77.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. An application has however been received from a person with the same surname and address but with a different Christian name. In that case the grant will be paid as soon as possible.

78.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a new house grant will issue to persons (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

The receipt of additional information requested from the applicant is awaited.

79.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a new house grant and a local authority house surrender grant have not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

The receipt of additional information requested from the applicant in connection with the new house grant application is awaited.

Applications for "surrender" grants are dealt with by the relevant local authority up to the stage of certification for payment. The appropriate certificate has not been received in my Department in this case.
