Vol. 387 No. 5

Written Answers. - Housing Act, 1988.

80.

asked the Minister for the Environment if, in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork, he has satisfied himself that the local authorities have discharged their duties under the Housing Act, 1988, in both the spirit and letter of the Act and with sufficient speed.

Information is not available in my Department in regard to the circumstances of individual applications made to a housing authority arising from their functions under the Housing Act, 1988. Furthermore, the letting of a dwelling under the Housing Acts is entirely a matter for the housing authority and is one in which I have no function.
