Travel and incidental expenses for members of the monitoring committee in the year ended 31 December 1988 were approximately £6,400. The cost of departmental officers' time in attendance at and servicing of the committee has not been costed as it varies with differing demands throughout the year. The cost of printing the annual report of the committee is borne by the Stationery Office.
