Vol. 387 No. 9

Written Answers. - Public Service Quota.

69.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the public service has filled its 3 per cent quota of places for disabled people; the present percentage of places which are filled by disabled people; and the plans he has to ensure that the 3 per cent quota is rapidly reached.

In the Civil Service, for which I have responsibility, the percentage of places filled by disabled persons is approximately 1.6 per cent. If and when normal recruitment resumes, it is the intention to achieve the 3 per cent quota as quickly as possible.
