Vol. 387 No. 10

Written Answers. - Bord Bainne Procedural Changes.

75.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the decision by the Registrar of Friendly Societies to refuse to accept the registration of the recently amended procedural changes in the operation of Bord Bainne; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that the new procedures were accepted in principle by the registrar some time ago; if his Department has been contacted in the matter by either Bord Bainne, the Registrar of Friendly Societies, or any other interested party; if his attention has been drawn to a possible threat to the marketing of dairy products resulting from delays with the registration; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The registration of new rules for An Bord Bainne is a matter between that organisation and the Registrar of Friendly Societies. I have no function in the matter. There is in any event, no threat to the export of dairy products.
