Vol. 388 No. 3

Written Answers. - Emigrant Assistance Agencies.

19.

asked the Minister for Labour if he proposes to ask DÍON to meet with representatives of the IBRG to discuss ways in which the work of the IBRG could be facilitated and helped by DÍON; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The organisation of the day-to-day work of DÍON is a matter for that committee. Efficiency considerations suggest that any voluntary organisation with an interest in the welfare of Irish emigrants in Britain which wishes to arrange a meeting with the DÍON committee should contact the chairman, who is the Labour Attache at the Irish Embassy in London. A copy of this parliamentary question and of my reply has been sent to the Chairman of DÍON.
