Vol. 388 No. 5

Written Answers. - Planning Legislation.

193.

asked the Minister for the Environment the planning legislation or sections of planning legislation for which he is responsible which have been passed by the Houses of the Oireachtas and not yet brought into force; and the reason the legislation is not yet in force.

198.

asked the Minister for the Environment if, in relation to the planning legislation or sections of the planning legislation for which he is responsible and which have been passed by the Houses of the Oireachtas and not yet brought into force, he will indicate the Acts, sections or regulations which have not fully been brought into force; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 193 and 198 together.

All of the provisions of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Acts, except sections 86 to 88 and section 92 (5) of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963, have been brought into force. The repeal of those sections, which relate to building by-laws and regulations, is proposed in the Building Control Bill, which is before this House.
