Vol. 388 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Wexford Housing Scheme.

203.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the great need for two-bedroomed houses in New Ross town County Wexford; and if he will provide the finance for the William Street scheme.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 199 and 203 together.

Proposals in relation to this scheme, which were submitted by the National Building Agency acting on behalf of New Ross Urban District Council, have been examined in the Department. Arising from this the agency has asked to reconsider certain aspects of their proposals. I am not, therefore, in a position, at this stage to indicate when this scheme may proceed to tender.
