Vol. 388 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Wexford Sewerage Systems.

200.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the demand on the present sewerage system at Rosbercon, New Ross, County Wexford; if he will provide the finance for a main drainage scheme in that area immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The preliminary report for this scheme was approved in January 1988. It is a matter for the council to advance the planning of the scheme.

202.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the interceptor sewer for New Ross, County Wexford will be provided.

Contract documents have been prepared for this scheme. I cannot indicate when I will be in a position to approve the proposal having regard to the existing level of commitments to the sanitary service programme.

204.

asked the Minister for the Environment when finance for the Blackwater sewerage scheme, County Wexford will be provided; and when work will commence on same.

The Blackwater sewerage scheme which is under construction has been fully funded and is near completion.

205.

asked the Minister for the Environment when funds will be made available for Carrig-on-Bannow sewerage scheme, County Wexford.

I refer the Deputy to Question No. 149 of 16 June, 1987. The position is unchanged.
