Vol. 388 No. 5

Written Answers. - Finglas West (Dublin) Primary School.

264.

asked the Minister for Education the reason she has refused permission to the Holy Faith Sisters to extend their training and development facilities for travellers in St. Joseph's Primary School, Finglas West, Dublin 11, especially in view of the fact that they have adequate finances to fund the project themselves; and if she will ensure that permission is granted forthwith to allow this very desirable facility to be provided.

On 1 March, 1989 my Department informed the chairperson of the board of management of St. Joseph's National School for Travellers, Finglas, Dublin 11 that it had no objection in principle to the provision of an additional room at the school subject to approval of the plans by its architect. My Department's architect has now examined the plans and a final decision will be conveyed to the school authorities at an early date.
