The approximate acreage of State forest under plantation in each county in Connaught is as follows: Galway, 86,000; Mayo, 71,000; Leitrim, 30,000; Roscommon, 18,000; Sligo, 20,000.
The production from each of these counties will be dependent mainly on harvesting policies which are day to day operational matters for Coillte Teoranta.
