Vol. 388 No. 5

Written Answers. - Portlaoise Prison Cell Doors.

77.

asked the Minister for Justice if cell doors (details supplied) at a cost of approximately £2 million were purchased for Portlaoise prison and were found to be unsuitable; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 17 of 10 November 1987 which set out fully the position about the doors in question which, incidentally cost £395,000 and not £2 million as stated.
