I have been informed by the Garda authorities that three vehicle crews are at present operating the tow-away service in the Dublin Metropolitan Area. I have also been informed by the Garda authorities that consideration has been given to alternative methods of enforcing the parking regulations, including the use of wheel clamps. As of now, there are no plans for the introduction of this system.
